Recreational cannabis and retail sales are legal.
Decriminalized/Legal for personal use (no sales)
Recreational cannabis use and possession are either legal or not seen as an offence that will result in a fine or another non-custodial penalty, as long as it's kept within the regulations set out. There are no recreational cannabis retail sales in these countries, but there may be legal medical cannabis sales. Laws are different for every country.
Decriminalized
Cannabis is not legal in these countries, but its use and possession are treated as a non-custodial offense. A non-custodial offence could be a warning, a fine, a referral to a drug program, or another type of penalty that doesn't result in being sent to prison or getting a criminal record. There are no recreational cannabis retail sales in these countries, and laws are different for every country.
Medical use only
Cannabis is legal for medical use, and the level of access is different for every country.
No framework
Medical cannabis is legal, but there is no framework for issuing prescriptions.
CBD/Hemp products only
Only CBD/hemp-derived products are legal.
